For me, bullying didn't just consist of physical or mental torture, but the long term after effects to a persons self esteem. We hear about the terrible effects of bullying when someone does something violent to themselves or others; yet not very many talk about how the cause of bullying to ones self eesteem hinders a persons success in life. I was bullied in elementary school so I spent many long years growing up and looking at these words in the mirror. I wanted to show how over time these words you see in the mirror slowly leak out until they explode all around you and follow you every where you go; throughout your life, jobs, hobbies, friendships, and especially relationships. I wanted this project to be seen as an art installation and show what happens to the victim over time when they see themselves in the mirror.
